The Hollywood legend will guest star in multiple episodes of Glee before the season is over. Find out what else we learned about her stint on Glee below.

Today, TVLine reported that Shirley MacLaine would be appearing on Glee towards the end of April. No set number of episodes has been revealed, but we do know she will portray a New York socialite who only has eyes for Blaine. It won’t be in a romantic way (we don’t think), but she does want to make him a star.

We’re not exactly sure how the pair comes to meet, but we’re excited to see Blaine get a storyline by himself and see him find some success outside of his relationship with Kurt.

Check out this photo of her and Darren Criss practicing a number in rehearsal:

It’s hard to not to be a fan of Shirley MacLaine. Her filmography is extensive and she has spent most of her life singing and dancing, but it is her talent that really speaks for itself. If you don’t believe us, we suggest you rent the movie Sweet Charity.

Actually, here’s a clip from the film for a little preview:

Sure that was 1969, but we have a feeling that she’s still going to impress us all and even teach the young kids a thing or two.

Shirley doesn’t have much television on her resume, but had heads turning when she appeared on Downton Abbey as the sassy Martha Levinson last year. Maybe this is a sign of even more television appearances to come in the future.

What do you think of this epic casting news?

You can watch Glee tonight on Fox at 8 pm eastern/pacific.
