The Lizzie Bennet Diaries novelisation moves one step closer as the cover is revealed.
Last year we learned that a The Lizzie Bennet Diaries novelisation was coming in 2014. Now the cover for The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet has been revealed.
The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet by Bernie Su and Kate Rorick will be published on July 1, 2014 by Touchstone Books.
The Lizzie Bennet Diaries fans can expect the book to expand on the current universe of the web series and various transmedia elements. A recent update from Pemberley Digital, the company behind The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, explained that the book will cover Lizzie’s entire journey as a vlogger, beginning just prior to the commencement of her project and finishing just after.
It will be written from her perspective, and will delve into the relationships and events that did not make it onto the (YouTube) screen.
The team behind The Lizzie Bennet Diaries are hard at work this week creating even more content for fans of the show. Showrunner Bernie Su and writer Kate Rorick are participating in the #TwitterFiction Festival, a celebration of storytelling on the social media platform.
Given the transmedia aspects associated with The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, the web series was an obvious choice for the celebration.
Fans can expect a “week long story campaign bringing Lizzie Bennet back online,” according to the festival schedule. So far two stories have been launched; “Birthday Excitement” features Lizzie, Charlotte, and Darcy, while “A House is Not a Home” relates to a shock decision in the Bennet household.
