Supernatural season 9, episode 13 “The Purge” airs tonight, as Sam and Dean take an undercover case at a spa.
The Road So Far
After Dean teamed up with Castiel and Crowley to confront Gadreel, Sam ejected his angelic hitchhiker, Gadreel returned to his original vessel, and Crowley was allowed to go free. Dean, feeling guilty, decided to hunt Gadreel on his own.
However, he took a detour with Crowley to find the First Blade, the only weapon that can kill a Knight of Hell. Dean took the mark of Cain from Cain himself in order to wield the First Blade against Abaddon. Meanwhile, Castiel and Sam returned to the bunker where Castiel continued healing Sam’s lingering trial damage.
The brothers reunited after learning that Garth was in trouble and finally agreed to hunt together again, though Sam isn’t ready to trust Dean beyond a working relationship. Catch up on Supernatural season 9 with our recap of the last week’s episode, “Sharp Teeth.”
