The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has now made $409.4 million since its November opening, making it the most successful film of 2013 in the United States.
The title was previously owned by Marvel’s Iron Man 3, which debuted in May and made $409.01 million when all was said and done.
Catching Fire also surpassed its predecessor. The Hunger Games made $408 million in 2012.
Other notable records for Catching Fire’s United States box office: It is the biggest November opener ever, and the biggest Thanksgiving weekend film ever.
