Showtime has released a teaser trailer for the Homeland season finale airing Sunday, December 15.
Homeland season 3, episode 12 is titled “The Star” and picks up after last Sunday’s intense storyline which ended with Brody killing General Akbari. The mission didn’t come without a few major hiccups, however, which led Saul to order Brody killed.
A new trailer consists of clips from various season 3 episodes, but Brody narrates the entire piece and talks about redemption.
“There’s this man in Caracas. His doctor, he called me a cockroach,” Brody says to an unknown person. “Unkillable. Bringing misery wherever I go. This is about redemption. Mine. I’m a lot of things, but I’m not a marine anymore. I haven’t been for some time.”
We don’t know if this speech from Brody is being said to another character on the show, or if this was recorded purely for promotional purposes.
Homeland season 3, episode 12 “The Star” airs Sunday, December 15. The synopsis reads, “Season 3 ends with security forces closing in on Carrie and Brody, and Brody struggling to find redemption. Meanwhile, Saul plans a last-ditch rescue mission.”
We’re glad to see Saul is still invested in saving Carrie (and Brody?) given the extra stress she (they) caused him in episode 11. Surely Carrie will be in trouble for tipping Brody off on Saul’s decision to kill him, despite the fact that she was once again right about Brody’s true intentions.
In related news, a new photo from episode 12 shows that Carrie’s father and sister will have some screen time. To talk about the baby?
Showtime renewed Homeland for season 5 which will premiere in 2014.
