A new preview for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 11 asks that most Christmas-y of questions: What if Sheldon didn’t exist?
Echoes of the classic Christmas film It’s A Wonderful Life will abound this Thursday night when The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 11 airs on CBS. The holiday-themed episode, titled “The Cooper Extraction,” will show the geeky gang musing on how their lives would be different if they had never met Sheldon.
The new promo for “The Cooper Extraction” makes it clear that some of the consequences are unexpectedly quite dire. (Yes Leonard, we’re looking at you.)
Unsurprisingly, it definitely seems like Leonard will be the most effected by the hypothetical absence of Dr. Cooper in his life. Differences in Leonard’s life will also clearly effect Penny, and we can’t wait to see how this change ripples also through Howard and Raj’s lives. And though the promo doesn’t dwell much on Amy, hopefully, “The Cooper Extraction” will cast some light on her theoretical Sheldon-free existence as well.
As the official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 11 tells us, Sheldon will be spending the holiday season at home in Texas. This frees up the gang to throw themselves a party, during which the subject of a Sheldon-free (AKA wonderful) life comes up.
While Sheldon is away in Texas, everyone gathers to decorate the apartment Christmas tree, and they each realize how much he has changed their lives.
The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 11 is scheduled to be the final episode of 2013, but don’t let this news douse your Christmas cheer! The top-rated comedy is tentatively scheduled to return early in January, so the holiday hiatus should be a relatively brief one.
The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 11 “The Cooper Extraction,” will air on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
