The first year of Sleepy Hollow will be coming to an end this January, and Fox has decided to air the last two episodes back-to-back for a potentially mind blowing season finale.

In a press release by Fox, the TV broadcasting company announced that the Sleepy Hollow season finale will be two hours long and air on January 20. The release reads:

In the first hour of the two-hour SLEEPY HOLLOW season finale event, “The Indispensable Man,” airing Monday, Jan. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) discover a massive secret buried within the pages of George Washington’s Bible and unearth the shocking true nature of the founding father’s death. Meanwhile, Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) makes a near-impossible decision for the sake of his beloved family that drastically changes his future. Then, in “Bad Blood” (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the battle between good and evil comes to an explosive head – sacrifices must be made, worlds collide, loyalties are tested and the town of Sleepy Hollow will never be the same – resulting in a haunting first season finale.

We’re excited for the two-hour finale, but sad that the first season has to come to an end so soon! Sleepy Hollow will return for a second season next fall, as one of of the first fall shows to have gotten a renewal earlier this year. The second season has also been picked up for another 13 episodes, but it may get a full season order if the season finale does well next month.

Sleepy Hollow has done pretty well in the ratings game, but so far no episodes have churned out any particularly exciting twists, at least not on par to what Scandal, The Walking Dead or even The Vampire Diaries have been able to put out this year. Let’s hope that the last few episodes to air this season pack in a real punch!

Will you be watching the ‘Sleepy Hollow’ 2 hour season finale?

I truly enjoy this show and can’t believe the first season is almost finished. I hope they are able to get more episodes in the next season (I know as of now it will be the same amount). This really is the first T.V. show on Fox, since X-Files that has me watching this station again.

I’ve absolutely loved this show and think it needs at least a few other seasons. I will be really disappointed if Fox cancels it, but seeing as it has had such high ratings I don’t think it will be a problem. (Fox. Why do you cancel all the good ones?)
