As we’re nearing the release date for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, director Peter Jackson has released his second-to-last video blog.
Peter Jackson has kept fans interested in the latest Hobbit film by releasing video blogs on his official Facebook page. It’s always fun to see what’s going on behind-the-scenes of the latest Hobbit film, and today we have the second-to-last vlog before The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug his theaters.
Watch as Martin Freeman crawls around in two tons of gold while filming shots with his good friend Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug. Meanwhile, Jackson continues to film footage and the VFX and sound teams work like mad to finish the film before its release, which is just nine days away!
It’s always nice to see Jackson lounging on a couch as he films a billion dollar blockbuster, or running around barefoot as he films an exciting shot of Smaug in an empty green screen room. The video blogs continue to be top-notch, and he never fails to impress fans.
We’ll be looking forward to the final video blog, which will most likely take us on the journey of Jackson and the cast as they fly around the world for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’s many world premieres.
