Gleeks can get excited for the holiday season this year as a new Glee Christmas album is coming in December.
According to the official Glee music Facebook page, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album, Vol. 4 will be in-stores December 3! Fans can currently pre-order the album on iTunes.
The album will contain only six songs, which is unusual when the previous three albums featured at least 10 on each. The songs that will be featured on this year’s Christmas album are:
- Here Comes Santa Claus
- Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
- Mary’s Little Boy Child
- The Chipmunk Song
- Love Child
- Away In A Manger
There has been no official confirmation from Fox or Glee about who will be singing which songs.
It seems that the decision to do a Christmas album may have been somewhat delayed this year. Last year we got the album and track-listing for Volume 3 in October. There was also debate that Glee wouldn’t even be doing a Christmas episode considering that the current timeline of the show puts them near the end of a typical American school year.

This information may also come as a surprise to some fans as Hypable reported that Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer confirmed to Billboard there would be no Glee Christmas album this year for the first time in three years.
Either way we are excited to have new Christmas music from Glee this year, even if it is only six songs.
