Thanksgiving plans get underway (no thanks to Sheldon) in two new sneak peeks from The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9.
Two new sneak peeks have been released for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9, the geeky comedy’s first foray into the fallow fields of Thanksgiving. The episode, titled “The Thanksgiving Decoupling,” will take the gang to Mrs. Wolowitz’s house for the holiday, whereupon complaining (from Sheldon) and surprises (from Penny) will ensue.
In the first clip from “The Thanksgiving Decoupling,” Howard relays his mother’s Thanksgiving dinner invitation to the gang.
Though Leonard, Penny, and Raj are amenable to the idea, Sheldon pulls out an impolite excuse – apparently, the gang’s Thanksgiving tradition is to eat Leonard’s mediocre food and listen to Sheldon complain about it. (We missed six years of this??) Howard begs them to agree, as his intimidating father-in-law (Casey Sander) will be joining them for the holiday. Sheldon reluctantly agrees, though it puts the sanctity of whiney Thanksgiving in jeopardy.
In the second sneak peek, Bernadette pulls a few strings to get Howard to spend time with her dad.
Or actually, just the one string. The one, most important string of marital tit-for-tat.
The official summary for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9 focuses on Sheldon’s foot-dragging at the Wolowitz’s Thanksgiving and an intriguing plot line for Penny hinted at in the preview.
Sheldon protests when the gang drags him to Mrs. Wolowitz’s house for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard must deal with a mistake from her past.
Brian Thomas Smith will return in “The Thanksgiving Decoupling” as Zack, Penny’s brainless boyfriend – and possibly more – from seasons past.
The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 9, “The Thanksgiving Decoupling” will air on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
