Lady Gaga’s next publicity stunt is quite literally out of this world.
According to US Weekly, the superstar will be going to infinity and beyond when she performs music in space. This US Weekly article sheds some light on what we can expect:
The “Dope” performer, 27, is set to blast off in a Virgin Galactic ship and belt out a single track during the Zero G Colony high-tech musical festival in New Mexico. “She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere,” says a source, who adds that the diva’s glam squad will join her in the shuttle.
Recently, in anticipation for her upcoming cosmos-themed songs on ARTPOP, Lady Gaga has been tweeting about the astrological star constellations that connect within her song “Venus.” Today Lady Gaga tweeted that her upcoming album launch party in New York City (titled artRAVE) would occur when Mercury is in retrograde:
artRave is Nov. 10 NY loc. TBA. 1800 ppl will be allowed in. The final retrograde phase of Mercury will occur, transitioning communication.

Fans will remember Gaga’s music video for “Born This Way” and the subsequent prosthetics for the album cycle which featured a very alien looking Lady Gaga. There’s no denying Gaga’s infatuation with the cosmos; a performance in space seems like next step for the always-controversial performer.
