Channing Tatum wants your love and he wants your revenge. He’s gearing up to star in Bad Romance which likely has nothing at all to do with the Lady Gaga song.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Channing Tatum is in early talk to star in and produce Bad Romance, the next film from 50/50 helmer Jonathan Levine. Though no deal is yet in place, it’s likely that one will come together.
Jonathan Levine will write the script as well as direct the film. Levine also wrote and directed Warm Bodies, released earlier this year. Bad Romance will be the director’s next endeavor after this year’s releases of the previously mentioned Warm Bodies as well as All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, though that was his first feature film. Levine initially released it in 2006, but it took until 2013 for it to be distributed in the United States. His films have all been quite different from one another, showing that the director is capable throughout many genres.
If the deal goes through, Tatum will produce with his Iron Horse Entertainment partner Reid Carolin. The pair produced Magic Mike and are set to reunite on the sequel.
Tatum has been acting since 2004, but 2012 was the year that certified him as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Starring in 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike, Tatum found himself in two roles that landed him sequels. He has some promising roles coming up in 2014 including 22 Jump Street, Foxcatcher, and Jupiter Ascending.
