The upcoming Twilight Forever box set will include bloopers from all five movies, and today a first look at the featurette has surfaced.

The Twilight blooper reel is called “Breaking Character” on the forthcoming Twilight complete box set hitting store shelves in November. In this preview we see several moments around the set in which the cast are caught in lighthearted moments. The clips show how much fun they had between takes, or when attempting to complete a take.

Stand out moments include Rob and Kristen’s first on-camera interview for Twilight back in 2008, and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) trying to get down a hill in her heels. We also see Rob and Kristen filming moments in Twilight and Breaking Dawn – Part 1.

Watch the Twilight blooper reel preview below:

It remains to be seen just how much footage is included in “Breaking Character,” but since they have five films to work with we’re hoping it’s a very satisfactory amount of material.

It’s good to see that there is a blooper reel after all. No Twilight movie’s home entertainment release has ever included one, and fans who’ve grown to love the stars have been clamoring to see bloopers for years.

Twilight Forever will be released November 5. Check out our previous story to see a trailer.

On November 3 and 4 in New York City, Summit will host a fan event during which they’ll screen all five movies and host special guest appearances in Times Square.

  • Merina

AT LAST…after all these years of waiting :D

…but it was really short and I wanted to see more from the actual movies and I hate to complain sorry sorry sorry but I really hope we get a longer and more in-depth one at some point ok cool thanks.

    • Michael Vartanian

This article says this a preview for the reel on the DVD box set. So hopefully there is a much longer one from all 5 movies :D

      • Merina

Ah, very good point! Thank you for pointing that out – I should have read the article more carefully.

  • Connor

You mean the entire film series wasnt one big blooper reel?

    • Merina

I don’t have the energy to even try and lecture people like you on a concept known as respect…

      • ZofTheTwiHard

        Tell me about it.

      • Gary65

I don’t mean to be blunt but what is he supposed to be respecting? He’s not calling Kristen ugly. He’s not calling Twihard’s names. He’s not using abusive language. If he didn’t like the movies, he’s free to say so. I’m not exactly sure what you think he’s disrespecting.

        • ZofTheTwiHard

Just the bottom line is disrespectful. No one minds someone saying that they don’t like it. But calling the whole thing a ‘blooper reel’ is really rude.
But isn’t it a bit peculiar? If, for example. I thought that Harry Potter was just purely ridiculous and a ‘blooper reel’, I would be dissed to ash. You people do that to Twilight, and you get DEFENDED! Talk about disrespect, and yes, I’ll say it – inter-fandom discrimination! Seriously, people,

          • Gary65

Criticism is not the same as disrespect. They can overlap but they are not the same thing.

If you think Harry Potter is stupid, that’s your opinion. I would strenuously disagree with you but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s your opinion. And my disagreement certainly wouldn’t make what you said disrespectful.

It’s also worth noting that your being butthurt about it is the main reason a lot of them do it. TROLL IN THE DUNGEON, as they say. If you ignore them, all trolls will die eventually. Your insistence on paying attention to them is what keeps them alive.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

Let me ask you: Is there any point in me arguing my side, or have we just reached an impasse which will never be resolved?

          • Gary65

If I didn’t want you to argue your side, I wouldn’t be replying. I’m more than willing to cede the point if you can explain how saying you don’t like something is disrespectful. Respect generally applies to living things or objects associated with them(property, privacy etc.). Twilight & Harry Potter are not living things, nor are they associated with living things(in the context of Connor’s comment, at least).

          • ZofTheTwiHard

First of all, I did NOT say that not liking something I like is disrespectful. I said that calling the thing I like a ‘blooper reel’ is disrespectful.
Whilst a dictionary definition of ‘disrespect’ is simply “to regard or treat with contempt or rudeness; [to] insult”, no where does it specify whether it has to be something alive.
However, as a fan of something yourself, I’d imagine that you
do have a fandom of which the characters and the story become real for you. Like your friends. And if someone called the life of your friend ‘a blooper reel’, you would get angry at the said person, wouldn’t you? Of course, it’s not insulting you directly, but it is insulting you in a particular way. And no matter whether it’s “a low-hanging joke” or an outright expression of hate, you will react because you care.

This sounds really cheesy, I know. But for a lot of people, this is just the way it is. And if it’s not good enough, well, then we really did reach an impasse.

          • Gary65

Yes, there are a great many fandoms that I love and care about. But I also understand that they’re fiction and, as such, are open to a variety of opinions and feelings. I’m more than capable of having an argument over the artistic merits of the stuff I like but, when someone disagrees with me, that doesn’t mean they’re disrespecting me. The idea that I should have to censor myself cos of your obsessions is ridiculous. If you see my opinion as an insult(despite the fact that I never even knew you existed when I voiced my opinion), that’s your own problem. But it is not disrespect towards you and was never intended that way. It’s not my fault that you interpreted something differently than how it was intended. If anything, it’s your fault for being so prickly and for misinterpreting it in the first place

By your own reasoning, if I felt that Twilight was an insult to literature(and literature meant everything to me), you would be mandated to never speak of Twilight again for fear of disrespecting me. Which is stupid.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

Again, I didn’t say that hating Twilight is wrong. To quote myself, “You can dislike it. That’s the beauty of human nature.” There’s the dislike, and then there’s viciousness.
You didn’t voice your opinion (even though it’s pretty obvious), so I’m not saying that YOU are disrespectful. I’m saying that the INITIAL comment is disrespectful.
And the last paragraph doesn’t make sense, so I won’t even address it.

          • Gary65

I think we need to retcon here. I don’t gate Twilight. I don’t love it. But I don’t hate it.

Ofc it makes sense. Conor viciously dislikes Twilight. You see that as this respectful and believe he shouldn’t say stuff like that.

You viciously love Twilight. If I were to believe that your vicious love is disrespectful to me then, by your own logic, you shouldn’t say stuff like that.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

This conversation is going in loops now. So I’m out (although, of course, if a response is required, I will do so.)

So, to repeat myself (and to quote Edward Cullen), “I believe it’s called an impasse.”

          • Gary65

If, by impasse, you mean that you want to say whatever you want and that everyone else should check themselves to avoid hurting your feelings, then sure. We’re at an impasse.

          • Merina

Oh, lay off of her, please. She’s trying to calmly and maturely agree to disagree with you. Let her.

          • Gary65

And I am calmly and maturely debating her about it. Unless I’m mistaken, the above is what she’s arguing. I’m not sure what your problem is.

          • Merina

Are you seriously saying that ‘the entire fandom/series is one giant blooper reel’ is legitimate, polite, well-formed criticism?

            Seriously? Seriously. Come on.

          • Gary65

I think he’s making a cheap(and pretty low hanging) joke. That doesn’t equate with disrespect.

          • Merina

I think cheap and low-hanging jokes aimed at insulting an entire fandom /are/ disrespectful. Hence my comment to him.

          • Gary65

By that reasoning, comedians who make fun of things are automatically disprespecting anything that’s part of their material. If you don’t find it funny, that’s fine. But I think you’re severely diluting the concept of respect & what it means.

If he was saying that Kristen is an ugly cow, or that Twihards=retards or something like that. then I’d agree with you. But making a cheap joke at the expense of a book series he doesn’t like is not disrespect.

          • Merina

I believe there is a time and place for comedians to make fun of things. Like I said above; deliberately taking the time to go onto a Twilight fandom page and insult the series seems to me to be most unnecessary and disrespectful.

I’m sorry to hear that you think it’s perfectly all right, but there is nothing I can do to change your opinion. Let’s agree to disagree.

          • Rosalie David

You’re making it sound like only Twilight fans should view Twilight pages. This site is open to all fans of different randoms. I’ve discovered some of my newest fandoms by looking through pages of fandoms that I previously didn’t know anything about.
Lets say for example that you didn’t like the Hunger Games for whatever reason. You see that a top story is the recent release of a trailer and go see it. You are free to leave comments saying you hate the trailer or you don’t like an aspect of the franchise in the comments. Free speech is not the same as disrespectful just because its an opinion different from your own.

          • Rosalie David

Disrespectful? You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

You tell me I’m missing the point, but I think it’s the other way round.

          • Rosalie David

Really? Define disrespectful to me please because I sincerely believe we have different definitions for the word. It seems to me that you think disrespectful is anyone who shares a different opinion from you. The original comment is not disrespectful, its a joke about a series. I would agree with you if the comment had been insulting the creators/actors by calling them names or even if he had called you names. But all it was was a joke.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

I believe that being disrespectful is not just insulting a given person directly, but also insulting anything that the said person cares about almost as if it were real, especially if they’re a part of the fandom. Don’t tell me you’ve never been attached to a fandom like this, that regardless of the seriousness of someone’s criticism, you would be hurt by it, even if infinitesimally.

          • Rosalie David

Please stop, because now you’re referring to yourself as a victim and you’re not. No, you are not the only fandom that has had jokes made about it. Yes, I have been very emotionally attached to a fandom and had it joked about and even insulted. But you can’t let it hurt you as much as this, learn not to be so sensitive. This is not unique to Twilight.
Look, I think this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. If you don’t think the joke is funny then ignore it, but learn to deal with it. Life is full of people not agreeing with you and even making jokes about the things you care about.

        • Merina

To deliberately make the time and effort to come onto a Twilight article, full of fans celebrating the release of a long-awaited blooper reel, simply to have a shot at /blatantly insulting/ our entire fandom…

…/that/, good sir, is what I think he’s disrespecting.

          • Gary65

He’s making a cheap joke, most likely in the hope that some particularly frail fans will take it personally and get their knickers in a twist. Which is exactly what you’re doing. Needling someone for thrills is not the same as disrespect. The idea that Twilight, or any fandom, has some sort of standing, that should be respected by the population as a whole, is nonsensical.

          • Merina

I think it can be concluded that you and I have very different ideas of ‘respect’ is, very different ideas of what appropriate behaviour is, and very different ideas of how the population as a whole should treat fandoms and fans.

Let’s agree to disagree. And please, do not call me a ‘particularly frail fan’ – I find that to be unnecessary and rude.

          • Gary65

Wow, you do have a broad scope when interpreting rudeness.

You are frail though. Half of the Twi-haters come here just to annoy people who like Twilight. They dangle a carrot in front of you, just hoping you’ll jump at it. And you jump at it every time. If Twihards just ignored the hate, there’d be an awful lot less of it.

          • Merina

I don’t have any wish to continue this conversation with you when you continue to simply insult me and tell me it’s my fault Twilight receives hate.

            Good day to you, sir.

          • Gary65

I’m not saying it’s your fault that Twilight receives hate. Every single thing on the face of planet Earth & beyond receives hate. I’m saying that you’re exacerbating the hate.

Look at The Hunger Games. That gets loads of hate from people who think it’s a rip-off of Battle Royale. But Hunger Games fans, for the most part, do not engage them. They ignore them for the trolls they are. Thus, the hate is not nearly as vocal cos the trolls get nothing out of it. There are people out there who just love stirring the pot. By reacting, you ensure that they’ll keep coming back.

I’m sorry but I just don’t see the sense in complaining about a problem all the time when you’re the one making the problem worse. But, if you insist, then go ahead. Just know that the Twilight trolling will never stop until you learn to ignore it and move on. Why are you surrendering the moral high ground and engaging with them at all? You’re not going to gain anything from it, no matter how hard you try.

    • ZofTheTwiHard

Yeah, ’cause we haven’t heard that in a while…

      • Connor

Oh you twi-hards are so funny. I tell a little joke and you guys say im disrespectful? ok, I’ll be disrepectful right now…how about the fact that twilight is the stupidest and biggest piece of shit to ever be used for entertainment. NOW that’s disrespectful!

        • Miniryu-Ninja

I am not a TWI-HARD but i like the books and the films… but what i don’t find funny is anyone bashing another fandom!! If you don’t like twilight then don’t click on a twilight article! The beauty of Hypable is that everything is separated into different fandoms…. so if you are lost i suggest heading back to the homepage and starting again.

          • Merina

            Amen, sister. Thank you :)

        • ZofTheTwiHard

There’s no difference in what you say, either if you say it ‘nicely’ or outright like that, because the bottom line of your first statement is, frankly, as transparent as the second.
Twilight jokes ARE funny. ‘Eddie Discoball’. Love that. ‘…the entire film series [is] one big blooper reel’? Pluh-eese. You can dislike it. That’s the beauty of human nature. But don’t make us feel like idiots for liking it. That’s just being viscous.

          • Rosalie David

I think there is a difference. You can politely say you don’t like something and criticize it, or you could be “rude” and curse and making broad statements without support. The joke he said while funny to people who don’t like the series should just be ignored by people who do like the series.
If you like it, go ahead and like it, no one is stopping you! Just know that there are others out there who don’t like it, that’s life. But don’t say someone is rude or disrespectful for having an opinion that’s different from your own.

          • ZofTheTwiHard

“You can dislike it. That’s the beauty of human nature. But don’t make us feel like idiots for liking it. That’s just being viscous.”
            There’s a line.

          • Connor

Well ever since I made the blooper reel comment, you twi-hards ARE reacting like idiots and babies. I’ve been reading the comments about me apparently being disrepectful, an i aimed towards the franchise because i hate twilight, it wasnt toward you fans. but now i will remain disrespectful, then you will understand the true meaning of that word!

          • Merina

Please don’t insult us as ‘idiots’ and ‘babies’. Thank you.

          • Rosalie David

*sigh* I’m not trying to make you feel like an idiot. I was just offering advice because it seems like any remark made about the franchise is liable to upset you fans. If you ignore the comments and just accept that not everyone will love the franchise you’d be happier. I just think the first comment that sparked this whole thread is funny, but not mean spirited. I agree that I’ve seen mean and harsh words directed toward the franchise and the fans, but I don’t think this comment merits so much anger.

          • Merina

            Well, we think it does.

            So. Agree to disagree.

        • ForFrodo

Thanks, that just made my day :)

  • Mike Klianis

Honestly? Do you call that a Gag reel? the half of the clip we watch the blond one (i don’t care enough to remeber their names) trying to walk on grass! that was not a part of the filming, so not a gag reel!

    • Caroline J.

correct. it’s a preview for the gag reel that will appear in the box set of the films.

  • Tessa

The boxset won’t be available over this side of the atlantic, though I’m not sure I would have bought it even if it was as I already have the movies on dvd, so fingers crossed special features like this turn up on the internet for the rest of us.

  • Winkyxx

Kristen’s favorite wood is “dude” and “eff me”

  • ZofTheTwiHard

This may seem really odd, but I’m one of those who really aren’t keen on a blooper reel. It just completely takes me out of the story.
I don’t know whether it will be a blessing or a curse… and I really can’t tell the difference. Not now, anyway…
