The Twilight Forever box set unveiled its promotional trailer on Friday afternoon, and in it we’re treated to our first look at new footage.

As you can imagine, the Twilight box set includes all five movies (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and Breaking Dawn – Part 2) as well as each of the film’s previously-released special features.

The bread and butter of Twilight Forever is the two hours of never-before-seen special features exclusive to the box set. According to a press release, the bonus material is made up of “a cast retrospective with new interviews; ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Character’ which showcases previously unreleased behind-the scenes moments on set; an exploration of the epic ‘Twilight FAN-omenon’ and individually highlights Edward and Jacob’s stories in ‘Twilight Forever: Edward’s Saga’ and ‘Twilight Forever: Jacob’s Saga.’”

A preview of the new footage can be seen in the just-released trailer:

Twilight Forever will hit store shelves on November 5. It will arrive just as we approach the one year anniversary of the final film in the saga, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, opening in theaters around the world.

This box set will be the ideal gift for fans this holiday season who are missing their favorite vampires and wolves, but some may hesitate putting it on their wishlist if they already have all of the movies on DVD/Blu-ray. The two hours of bonus footage will be fun to watch, though there’s the question of when – if ever – we will see bloopers appear in some sort of box set. Movie outtakes are usually a particularly fun bonus feature for fans to enjoy.

I HATE it when stuff like this comes out when you already own all the films, the fangirl side of me wants it but there’s no way I will be re-buying the films for 2 hours bonus features, I just can’t afford it!

    • ZofTheTwiHard

Well, you could potentially sell them on eBay and get this box-set (although I do have a hunch that your disks are very dear to you). But you do have a point. Guess we have to come in terms with the fact that new and better releases will always come out, and try to foretell which so we could get the best deal. Ah, the bane of fandoms…

    • Cassie Drake

I purposely avoided buying the DVDs just because I knew when it was all said and done, there’d be a mega-edition box set. Netflix has held up well for when I have wanted to re-watch the films in the meantime.

      • ZofTheTwiHard

Hear, hear. But I still might not get it because 1) It’s a Region 1, making shit all the more complicated here in Europe; and 2) It’s inevitable that BDP2 will be extended in the future, or that a supercut will come out, and I’ll rather get a boxset like Twilight Forever, only upgraded to the new shizz. I would love for Twilight Forever to have all that stuff in it…

  • Merina

I’m going to wait and see what the reviews are like before I buy this, but I’m a sucker for new behind-the-scenes material. If it weren’t for the lack of a blooper reel/new deleted scenes…I’d be purchasing asap.

    • daisyduck

I probably will buy a boxset at some point, but it will only be when there’s more deleted scenes and a blooper reel. Those are things I really want.

  • Emily Bryan

I definitely won’t rush out to buy it. I also want to check out reviews and the price before I consider. Bonus material has my attention. I just can’t help myself! xD

    • Rosalie David

FYI, other fans who buy it usually put the bonus material on youtube, or at least some of it. The interviews might go up but if there are commentaries you won’t see those.

    • JESSIE

I AM ALSO GREAT FAN OF TWILIGHT

  • ZofTheTwiHard

I am so glad I waited and got used to internet downloads before buying the DVD’s. And yet again, I think I will wait till BDP2 gets extended, as that is obviously inevitable. I love this.
Damn this, though. Yet another US-only release. AMERICA, WHY?!?! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MARKETING POTENTIAL THIS HAD AS A WORLD-WIDE RELASE?!?! WHY?!?!

  • Carolyn

I admit I’m a sucka… I want every boxed set released because they each have something unique outside of the actual film. It’s a collector mentality mindset that’s hard to explain. Crazy stupid to some but perfectly understanable to others. Buy it if you want it and don’t if you don’t want to.

  • Ever Pearce

stephenie meyer must be getting hungry (as well as lazy) to market this rehash for Christmas. I guess after you’ve made your first billion, you loose a little motivation.

    • daisyduck

I think you’ll find that this release has nothing to do with Stephenie, It’s Summit who are understandbly trying to get every last drop from the their cash cow. This franchise basically made them.

      • Ever Pearce

Puleeeeze! This entire enterprise is HER baby, and she’s getting richer every time someone forks out big-bucks for two hours of trivia related to her books/films which they’ve already seen…no surprises or anything new. Marketed as BLU-RAY? Now all of her fans will have to go out a purchase new players. Brad Pitt’s character in Killing them Softly: “America’s not a country, it’s a BUSINESS!”

        • daisyduck

Yes it is. The films are Summits business and it is they who are putting out these DVDs. She has no control over it. I doubt they even told her. The cheque just just goes into her bank account. She profits but it’s not her ringing up and asking them to put out another boxset! It’s them who own the films and they will probably put out several more boxsets on the future, as many as they can get away with including anniversary ones, but blame them. They make the decisions about the films.

          • JESSIE

I THINKS TWILIGHT SHOULD BE FOREVER .I REALLY LOVE THIS SERIES

    • ZofTheTwiHard

Excuse yourself. Just like Marvel is making any sort of merchandise or films that will milk it, so are Summit. I’m just surprised that they didn’t make this a worldwide release so they’d get more money…

    • Merina

      1. No need to be rude. You don’t know Stephenie Meyer’s motivations any better than the next person. Please, lay off with the snide comments.

      2. This is nothing to do with Stephenie and everything to do with Summit. Stephenie doesn’t decide how and why and when the films are marketed; Summit does.

      • Ever Pearce

        Rasberries 2 U. THpppppppppt!

        • Merina

          Such maturity.

  • Glaciusx

    “Twilight FOREVER.”

    *MEGA eye roll*

  • Ronnie

I have all the dvd’s & I will still get this. I am a Twilight Fan & I want to own everything I can. I don’t spend money on myself often & I never got to go to any of the Twilight Events held so I will buy whatever comes out … #MYTRUTH

    • JESSIE

YA YOU ARE RIGHT SAME CONDITION OF MINE ‘s . I AM HAVING ALL 5 MOVIES AND I AM WAITING OTHER TO BE WITH ME
