A new Machete Kills trailer has just been released, and if there’s ever a trailer that’s a must watch, it’s this one that’s in “3D.”

From Coming Soon, this Machete Kills trailer was released in “3D” that is sure to catch you by surprise. And, no, there are no 3D glasses required to watch the trailer. Check it out:

Now that we’ve safely secured Hypable from the explosive damage of that trailer (we think), we have to wonder, will trailers created in this ridiculous fashion become the norm with over the top action movies like Machete Kills? We wouldn’t be surprised if the answer to that question is yes. The technology is cool, and it can’t hurt the attractiveness of a film such as this.

Machete Kills is set to hit theaters next Friday, October 11, in 2D only, interestingly enough. While it is not expected to do particularly well, especially critically, that was never the intent. If you want to see a sequel to a movie that was based on a fake trailer from Grindhouse: Machete Kills is the movie for you.

Machete Kills boasts an all-star cast. Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, and Michelle Rodriguez are returning from Machete, and the sequel adds newcomers Sofía Vergara, Lady Gaga, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Vanessa Hudgens, Charlie Sheen, Antonio Banderas, and so many more.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent Machete, who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy across the planet.

Did this 3D trailer change your opinion on seeing ‘Machete Kills’?

I just want to see it for Lady Gaga.

This trailer actually made me want to see it less. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but those effects were plain annoying. :/
