The Legend of Korra season 2 has been moved to a later time on Friday evenings, Nickelodeon’s official Twitter account announced today.
Schedule Update: #LegendOfKorra is moving to Friday nights at 8:30pm/7:30c! Tell your friends and let 'em know!

So far this season, the show has aired at 7 p.m. on Fridays. It isn’t clear why new episodes will be shifted up an hour and a half, though Nickelodeon might be attempting to boost the middling ratings The Legend of Korra season 2 has received so far. It is also possible – though purely speculative – that the content of upcoming episodes might be more suitable to viewers who are awake at the slightly later time.
Still, the change does not seem particularly drastic given recent rumors about potential changes to The Legend of Korra‘s schedule. A mistaken TV listing had reassigned new episodes of The Legend of Korra season 2 to varying times on weekday evenings. According to the listing, upcoming episodes were also set to air on NickToons, a secondary network to Nickelodeon. However, with the information about the actual scheduling change, @NickelodeonTV confirmed the listing to be incorrect.
The new airtime for The Legend of Korra season 2 will take effect this week. The official summary for the upcoming episode, titled “Peacekeepers,” says:
When the president of the United Republic refuses to help Korra, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
The Legend of Korra season 2 now airs at 8:30 p.m. on Fridays.
