A new behind-the-scenes Divergent featurette looks at what it means to be Divergent via new interviews with Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Kate Winslet.
The latest preview includes lots of great footage from the making of the film, including glimpses into the ferris wheel scene, the choosing ceremony, and other key moments in the story by Veronica Roth.
The author also speaks in this featurette and talks about having her book adapted into a movie.
This is the second featurette for Divergent released so far, and to be honest, we’re surprised that these types of previews are already being released so far ahead of the movie’s March 22, 2014 opening. Our guess is that this latest preview will be running in movie theaters before trailers.
While there is new footage, a lot of the information discussed in the video is generic information about the world of Divergent that readers already know. We suspect that this preview is targeted at people who aren’t aware of the series, and the studio hopes to get them interested in the premise early.
Yesterday the first two Divergent posters were released and depicted Tris (Woodley) and Four (James) with their tattoos. It is the first time we’re seeing the full array of tattoos on the latter character’s back.
