A new Once Upon a Time in Wonderland promo, titled “Twilight Games,” gives us our first look at Lost star Naveen Andrews playing Jafar!

The Once Upon a Time spinoff, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, will feature Lost‘s Naveen Andrews as the Aladdin villain, Jafar.

See him in action in this short new promo:

Mixed with clips we’ve already seen, the promo tells the story of Alice (Sophie Lowe) committing to returning to Wonderland to rescue her true love Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), who has been taken from her.

Jafar ominously states that, “I have very special plans for her,” and we also see Alice tell the rabbit to, “dig your hole,” allowing her and the Knave (Michael Socha) to return to Wonderland.

We’re sure that Naveen Andrews will cut a terrifying figure as Jafar – and it’ll be interesting to learn what his history is with the Queen of Hearts (Emma Rigby).

Also check out these recently released Once Upon a Time in Wonderland promos, which are titled “Feel the Love” and “Asylum”:

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premieres Thursday, October 10 at 8/7c on ABC.

At last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, Hypable.com spoke to some members of the Wonderland cast and crew about what we can expect to see in the first season of the Once Upon a Time spinoff.

Speaking about his character, Naveen Andrews revealed that Wonderland‘s take on Jafar will be very different from the Disney movie version. And no, he won’t have a talking parrot sidekick.

Also check out what the creators Adam Horowitz and Ed Kitsis had to say at last week’s D23 Expo panel!

Are you looking forward to seeing Naveen Andrews as Jafar in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland?

I can’t get the clip to work, all I can say is I’m very nervous about seeing Navine Andrews in Once Upon a Time. I was extremely disappointed with how they used Jorge Garcia and felt that the mediocre scripts didn’t do him justice at all.
