Scholastic has revealed the seventh and final new Harry Potter back cover, and it is one of our favorite ones yet: Harry confronting Voldemort.
“Neither can live while the other survives, and one of us is about to leave for good…” reads the quote from the boy wizard himself. This is the first time we’re seeing Voldemort in any of the new art. Check it out, and click it for high resolution:
This scene is very similar to the one we saw on the Deathly Hallows front cover designed by Mary GrandPre in 2007. You can see the new front cover, in which Harry, Ron, and Hermione are taking their dragon ride, in our previous story.
Now that all seven back covers have been released, we think Scholastic has finally finished unveiling all of the new artwork coming with the Harry Potter series’ August 27 re-release. You can see all of the new back covers below:
One thing we noticed about the progression of each piece of artwork: They went from a warm, bright blue to a gritty gray from books one to seven.

All of the artwork was designed by Kazu Kibuishi. Last night we learned that he’ll be hosting a signing in Los Angeles the day after the covers are released.
