Female power is the name of the game in Forbes’ just-released list of 2013’s highest-paid actresses.
Angelina Jolie tops the list of the highest-paid women in Hollywood with a whopping $33 million in the past year. Forbes notes that she is one of few actresses who can receive over $15 million per film. This, after her last film The Tourist co-starring Johnny Depp pulled in a tepid $278 million. Her next film is Disney’s live-action Maleficent which opens in theaters early 2014.
At number two is The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence, who officially hit major A-list status following the success of those two films and an Oscar win for the latter.
Despite the Twilight franchise being over, Kristen Stewart comes in at number three with an impressive $22 million. Forbes says her high up-front pay for Snow White and the Huntsman assisted her reaching the third spot.
