Sherlock hosted its first-ever panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and Hypable was there to share every moment from the highly-anticipated event.

The event was held in Ballroom 20 at Comic-Con where creator Steven Moffat and producers Sue Vertue and Mark Gatiss spoke to fans. Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Martin Freeman (Watson) were not present, but a video message was shared.

Hypable offers complete coverage of the Sherlock fandom. Check out the latest stories to catch up on what we know about series 3 so far.

The event has now concluded, but you can read our live blog coverage below:

    The anticipation…

I really really really really hope that they announce the Series 3 air date

  • Raquel

Is there a live stream anywhere?

  • DeAnna

  • Drk

It’s not CBS’s “Sherlock”, that imitation has its own name

  • ugh

Oh, Moffat’s insulting the fans again, what a shocker…

    I’m going to start crying…..

“The trio continue to elaborate on all of the online speculation, and Moffat confirms that Moriarty IS dead, though we’ll see Andrew Scott again … as a dead body.

Moffat is having a lot of fun with the conspiracy theorists who think Moriarty survived. “He shot himself in the face! What more do you want? … ‘Oh, were you faking your death, Sherlock? So was I!’ You can’t have that.”

Why am I not there??? Oh yes, it’s San Diego Comic Con, USA, not Oxford Comic Con, UK. I WILL GO THERE ONE YEAR.

1 minute ago: “Sherlock and Watson’s Wedding? AHHHH Yay, yay, yay!” *happy dance*
    Now: *Johnlock-shipping heart completely shattered*

Way to dangle that bit of hope in front of me then yank it away just as quickly, Hypable… :p

  • SuperWhoLock

Moffat avoiding the female Doctor question…. nice….

    • Merina

I’m glad he avoided it. No matter what he said, fans would attack him. He’s probably in the extremely arduous process of casting right now – he wouldn’t want to give anything away until it was finalised. I think he made a sensible choice to keep quiet, personally.

  • Nicole

Will anyone ask when they will air Season 3?! Geez!

  • Merina

“Hot off the presses from 110 years ago.. John does get married. We hoped you wouldn’t go sneak ahead and read the book!”

Hehehehehehehehehehehehe…for all his faults, I do enjoy Moffat’s humour so much.
