One of Glee’s most beloved stars has spoken out about the passing of his friend Cory Monteith in a silent way.
Last night in New York City Criss attended a screening of his upcoming film Girl Most Likely co-starring Kristen Wiig. On the red carpet where he posed for photos, Criss wore a black ribbon in support of Monteith.
Criss has not made a public statement about Monteith’s passing, but this photo says it all. The actor was scheduled to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America today to promote Girl Most Likely but he decided to cancel the appearance. The decision was probably made so that he does not have to speak so soon about the loss of a friend.
Many Glee stars have responded to the news of losing Monteith since he died over the weekend. One report indicates that Fox is considering holding Glee season 5 until November so the cast and crew have time to grieve and figure out how they want to move forward.
In an original article yesterday, we looked at several ways Glee can move on and properly send off Cory’s character Finn.
We wish Criss and the entire Glee cast our deepest sympathies during this difficult time.
Girl Most Likely begins opening in theaters later this month in the United States.
