Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows‘ new cover will debut on the boy wizard’s birthday at a party being thrown at Scholastic’s New York City headquarters, the publisher has confirmed to Hypable.
The birthday party and cover unveiling are open to the public and free to attend.
“Pull out your Marauder’s Map and Apparate (or fly your Firebolt) to Scholastic Headquarters on July 31 at 12 p.m. and celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Harry Potter series in a magical way!” writes Scholastic. “Join us as we unveil the all-new cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final of the seven new trade paperback editions illustrated by New York Times bestselling author and illustrator, Kazu Kibuishi.”
“Fans, old and new, can meet Kazu Kibuishi and Arthur Levine, editor of all U.S. Harry Potter books, see Hagrid, enjoy wizardry crafts and magical fun, and take a photo in a giant cut-out of the new Harry Potter cover…PLUS participate in the Harry Potter costume contest!”
The first fifty people to attend dressed in costume will receive a lithograph of the Deathly Hallows cover signed by Kazu. The event is free for all to attend.
Yesterday we told you that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince cover will debut at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 18.
Hypable plans to attend the unveiling of the Deathly Hallows cover. We’ll bring you the final two covers as soon as they hit the internet.
