Teen Wolf season 3, episode 6, “Motel California,” has upped the ante and the horror in the newest sneak peek.
“More than any other motel in California, we have the most guest suicides,” says the woman behind the check-in desk. It’s an ominous start to the sneak peek, and it doesn’t stop there.
Throughout the video we get some pretty terrifying shots of new and old characters in precarious situations, and the entire preview feels like it should be for a horror movie rather than an episode of Teen Wolf. Executive Producer Jeff Davis wasn’t kidding when he said they were getting back to their roots this season.
Apparently, this is also where we’ll get the scene between Danny and Ethan that fans are anticipating. Will it end in tragedy for Danny, or will Ethan realize that he doesn’t want to hurt him, despite Deucalion’s intentions to go after everyone he loves?
Lydia, at least, seems pretty in tune with the ominous vibe of the motel, despite Allison’s reassurances. “A lot can happen in one night,” Lydia says, and if Teen Wolf‘s track record is anything to go by, we’re sure a lot will happen in next week’s episode.
“There’s always hope,” says Allison, ever the optimist this episode. “Not for me,” says Scott. “Not for Derek.” Derek, who is still bloody (or perhaps he’s bloody again), tells Ms. Blake that she shouldn’t have come. “Everyone around me gets hurt,” he says, and we can’t deny it’s the truth.
We see many of our favorite characters in worrying situations: Boyd is underwater, Isaac is shut in a freezer, and Scott’s mom gets attacked.
The video ends with the text, “Prepare for war,” and we can’t help but feel like just watching this episode is going to be a battle of emotions.
Teen Wolf season 3, episode 6 “Motel California” airs next Monday, July 8, at 10 PM EST on MTV.
