New posters from the upcoming Percy Jackson movie Sea of Monsters are now online, and they all follow a particularly eerie theme.

First up is a poster of Annabeth, Daughter of Athena:

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters' Annabeth

Second is Grover, “everyone’s favorite satyr:”

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters' Grover

Third is Tyson, son of Poseidon:

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters - Tyson

These two posters are in a similar style to the one of Percy released a week ago. Each of these posters is black and white, a side profile of the character, and includes a little remark about the person depicted.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters hits theaters on August 7 and is based on the book of the same name by Rick Riordan. It stars Logan Lerman as Percy, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover, and Jake Abel as Luke, Nathan Fillion (Hermes), Stanley Tucci (Dionysus), Leven Rambin (Clarisse), and Douglas Smith (Tyson).

Speaking of Annabeth and Riordan, earlier this month fans were treated to the cover of House of Hades. It depicts Percy and Annabeth clinging on to one another, which sent longtime readers of the series into a frenzy (any time Annabeth and Percy get to spend time together is always highly anticipated). It was a cover that’s been highly-anticipated by fans – particularly those who ship the couple. The book hits store shelves on October 8.

They look a bit Hunger Games- esque, if you know what I mean…

    • arthur

Well…a lightning never strikes the same place twice

  • Gavin Walsh

Forgive me but Grover doesn’t become Lord of the Wild until The Battle of the Labyrinth right … thats the little bit that irked me there

  • Sofia Malik

Wait, what? They’re just gonna suddenly make Grover Lord of the Wild without the whole Pan storyline?

  • Glaciusx

These are very original posters!!! I’ve honestly never seen this done before…gives Percy Jackson more of a dark feel. Good job! Seriously.

  • TheBestGuest

If you take off all the words and junk from Annabeth’s picture and put stuff from the Hunger Games, she’d look like Katniss.

    • demigod girl

      No she wouldn’t!

  • John

Why is everyone so critical about the posters? Of course it’s similar to The Hunger Games character posters, but honestly does it really matter?

  • Shadowstare

I would have been funny if Grover had a tin can in his mouth or eating an enchilada.

  • Thalia Grace

these posters are awesome!they all look great!

I’m really excited because there is only 49 days left!!!
