Promoting her new single “Ooh La La” from the upcoming Smurfs 2 soundtrack, Britney Spears confirmed what many fans have been waiting to hear: a new album is on its way!
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest this morning on his radio show, Britney talked about the direction of the follow up to 2011’s Femme Fatale:
“I think the kids will appreciate it but I think it will have a cool approach to it.”
She also confirmed that she will be working with William Orbit, who has previously worked with Madonna.
“Actually I think William Orbit [Madonna’s producer] is coming in next week for me to work with. I’ve never worked with him before; I’m really excited.”
Britney Spears has been in talks to potentially do a residency in Las Vegas but was shy about details despite speaking about it earlier this year:
“It’s quite possible, yes. Yes, nothing confirmed, yet.”

Lastly, Britney said she has started working on the album and that it will be out in the next few months:
“[it should be out] by the end of the year.”
It looks like we might be swinging back in to Britney mode during the second half of 2013 with a lot of fun surprises for Britney fans in store!
