‘Doctor Who’: By the Numbers – a look at facts and figures from the show

As we celebrate the seventh season of Doctor Who, we thought we’d take a moment to recognize all of the awesome facts that we’ve learned over the years with our graphics series ‘By the Numbers.’

Last week, we gave you a look at Glee: By the Numbers, and now it’s time to take a look at Doctor Who! The longest running sci-fi show in television history is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this coming November, so we took this opportunity to point out some other awesome numbers relevant to the series and it’s dedicated fans.

From Doctors and companions to episodes and enemies, there are so many that we could barely keep track! You’ll find that it’s hard to remember all the little things in a huge series like Doctor Who, but we’ve managed to group a lot of those little facts into one awesome graphic designed by Hypable’s Ben Rubin. Have a look at the numbers of Doctor Who:

With 50 years under it’s belt, tell us: Which Doctor, series, companion, or enemy is your favorite?!

Our ‘Doctor Who’ celebration continues!

The season is ending but the fan hype definitely won’t be! When Doctor Who airs its final episode of series seven tomorrow, your local Hypable podcast, WhoHype, will be hosting a live Google Hangout to discuss it! Be sure to join Laura Byrne Cristiano, Jennifer Lamoureux, Natalie Fisher, and Tariq Kyle as they ponder the episode’s twists and turns and theorize about how it’ll lead to the 50th anniversary and changing the course of Doctor Who forever!

The Google Hangout will happen after the episode airs on the east coast of the United States, so roughly around 9:00PM EST. Unfortunately this means that it’ll be two in the morning for you UK readers, but don’t fret! We’ll be recording the hangout as a normal podcast as well, to be released as soon as possible.
