The Walking Dead season 4 went into production earlier this week, and now AMC has unveiled the very first official photo from the show.
In what we assume is from The Walking Dead season 4, episode 1, Rick is walking through the woods on his own but is seemingly unaware of a zombie coming up behind him. Check out this first photo below:
Yesterday we told you that The Walking Dead season 4 would start several months ahead of where season 3 wrapped, so it’s hard to decipher what Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) may be up to in this scene. We believe the prison will continue to be the survivors’ mainstay for at least the beginning of the season, so Rick might be out on a little hunting excursion. Or could he be tracking the whereabouts of The Governor, who ran away during the season 3 finale?
The Walking Dead season 4 premieres this fall on AMC. Over the past couple months we’ve learned about new cast members as well as old ones who are being upped to series regulars. Newcomers include Larry Gilliard Jr., who will play Bob Stookey, “a former Army medic who is deeply haunted by his past — both before and after the apocalypse.”
Returning cast members Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Emily Kinney have been promoted to regulars. They play Tyreese, Sasha, and Beth respectively. We can expect to see them in many photos released by the network as we build up to the season premiere.
