Big casting news for Teen Wolf is sure to have fans on the edge of their seats!
Today we found out from SpoilerTV that in episode 3×08 we will be introduced to a character that many of us have been dying to learn about since day one!
Derek’s mother, who we presumed had died in the Hale fire, will be gracing us with her presence next season.
The spoiler keeps things brief but does name her as “Talia – a deadly alpha werewolf.” This leaves a lot to the imagination but gives just enough information to leave everyone in a buzz. The spoiler goes on to say that we will also be meeting Derek’s older sister Laura, but that had been reported earlier from several different sources.
Arguably, the most interesting aspect of the casting spoiler is that the part could potentially become a “series regular.”
Fans had already been made aware that a flashback episode, centered around Derek’s past, was scheduled for sometime during the coming season. This caused many of us to assume that at some point we would meet Derek’s mother.
But none of us were quite prepared for the news that her appearance could become a recurring aspect of the show. We are not quite sure how exactly Talia will be tied into season 3, but theories are bound to be flying around left and right now that this new information has leaked.
Will her appearance only come in the form of flashbacks? Did she actually survive the deadly fire that traumatized her son? If so, why hasn’t she contacted Derek? Is it because she could potentially be on the run from something?
The possibilities are literally endless. And for anyone that follows the show, you’ll get just how big of a deal this could be for Derek’s character.
