I’m surprised Stewart is even allowed to come. I’m not trying to be rude, but I didn’t really picture her as someone the Academy would want to get asociated with.

She attends because those old guys from the Academy love actresses that going nude in the movies. And this is an ”award” for her scandal.

    • Liberty

She got this because her agency is trying to protect its investment. She has 2 movies in limbo right now and the only real job she has confirmed is a freaky indie about a guy into feet. She employs a full time PR person and is grasping at any straw available at the moment.

Her supposed boyfriend ditched her to go off to Australia for several months, and hasn’t done anything to help her clear her tarnished name. She trashed her own reputation and it’s going to take more than stuttering, blinking and heavy breathing through an Oscar presentation to change the public’s perception of her. They remember those photos of her grinding on the side of the road with Rupert Sanders. And now that Liberty has filed for divorce, that makes Kristen a certified homewrecker. She should lay low instead of parading around like she belongs in that company. This proves she has no sense of shame.

Both of her parents are in the industry. This is ridiculous. She hasn’t ‘earn’ the rights to go to this fabulous otherwise ceremony. Please, do NOT make The Oscars a joke!

A lot, if not most, of Hollywood actors and actresses have parents who are in the industry.

Also, whom the Oscars invite to present has nothing to do with “earning” it. Sometimes they invite people to present just because they think it will get them better ratings.

Seeing as how Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel Craig and a myriad of real movie stars will be there, adding KStew isn’t going to greatly increase their viewership. Her PR people have worked hard to get her invited to this, but that’s what she pays them for. She needs all the help she can get with her tarnished image, but she isn’t fooling anyone.

I can’t wait to see what Twitter has to say about this. If she is as bad as she was at that charity appearance she made, the tweets will be hilarious.

Didn’t know where to post this (the news by you feature doesnt work for me).
Previous reports stated that Catching Fire will film additional scenes in March. JLaw confirmed that she’s flying back to Hawaii to finish filming the day after the Oscars. It was speculated that the cast would just film minor scenes in front of a green screen in L.A, but this news confirms that they actually have a good chunk of the movie to finish.

Will she meet with Rupert Sanders? Will the press ask her the private questions?

    • Mario

She’s really known for being caught cheating with a married father of two in public. The Academy has really lowered its standands having her present anything. And this is just another excuse for her to wear another see-through outfit. She was embarassing on the BD2 red carpets, a PG-13 rated movie, in those nearly naked dresses. So pathetic and desperate for attention, it’s sad, really.

She’s scraping the bottom of the barrel with that foot fetish flick, and that’s all she’s being offered these days. While SWATH2 is in development, there’s no script and no start date, so it’s just a maybe, and Focus is still in limbo because they can’t find a male star who wants to be in a movie with her. If they had, it would be announced by now. How the mighty have fallen.

“How the mighty have fallen”…. seriously so true. Last year at this time (and the year before that, and the year before that etc etc) she was like the most famous person on the planet and now…

She was extreeeeemely overexposed so when she fell, she fell hard. Sad really.

Hooray Kristen! I’ve missed seeing her pretty face. I wonder what she’ll wear. Something shear I hope;);)

Talent and keeping one’s private life out of the tabloids have never been prerequisites to being an Oscar presenter. Fact is Twilight sold a lot of tickets.

  • Jill

I’m excited for more than half of the people listed above, I hope this year is fantastic with the Oscars.

  • Cora

I don’t really care about her as a person, but just feel like whatever she’s presenting, it’ll just be a super awkward moment. Her presenting anything usually just goes painfully awkward.
