Bones continues to up the banter between Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) in a newly released clip and will challenge Brennan in an upcoming episode “The Fact in the Fiction.”

The chemistry has always been palpable between the crime fighting duo even during the seasons where they had not acknowledged their romantic tension. In this new clip Brennan shows off her intelligence by stealing Booth’s crossword puzzle and does well until it becomes to pop culture in Monday’s episode, “The Friend in Need.”

Brennan becomes stumped when the clue is Gilligan’s and the word is six letters. Booth shows his prowess by guessing Island and informs her about the wonder of Gilligan’s Island.

Brennan will continue her journey of accepting the more mythical aspects of life in “The Fact in the Fiction” as seen with the introduction of a new squintern, as Hypable previously previewed. “When extremely educated new intern Dr. Oliver Wells (guest star Brian Klugman) starts working at the Jeffersonian, his enthusiastic personality and eccentric but undeniable observations get under Brennan’s skin and cause her to try to be more open-minded about scientific questions. But Booth worries she may have gone too far when she accepts the possibility of time travel as a factor in a murder investigation.”

Have you been enjoying the banter between the pair? What did you think of the clip and photos? Did you ever watch Gilligan’s Island? What do you think of season eight of Bones?
