Fall Out Boy stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to perform their new single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).”
Rumors that Fall Out Boy would be appearing on the late night show started swirling earlier this month after a few TV listings claimed the band would be performing live on the show.
The Chicago-based rockers finally confirmed their appearance just a day before they were set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live in a rather clever post on their official Tumblr.
Additionally, the band also announced that fans wouldn’t have to wait as long as they originally thought to get their hands on the much anticipated follow up album to 2008’s “Folie á Deux.”
In a short statement on their website, Fall Out Boy revealed that they would be pushing up the release date of their upcoming sixth studio album, Save Rock and Roll, from May 6 to April 15.
So when we got this all rolling we didn’t expect it to be so crazy. But we weren’t kidding when we said we had the album done- so why wait? It means the world to us the way you have welcomed us back. “Save Rock and Roll” now out early, April 15/16 worldwide.
