Tonight, Little Monsters all over North America got some bad news. Due to a health condition, Lady Gaga has postponed the rest of her 22-date North American tour.

The news comes from Live Nation via Lady Gaga’s website, which has sent out details regarding the rest of the pop superstar’s Born This Way Ball:

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.

Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

This is devastating news for Little Monsters and Gaga fans all over North America who have been waiting for the Born This Way world tour to come to the singer’s home country. Born This Way was released two years ago this May.

This week, Lady Gaga also postponed four of her regular stops due to a health condition. She tweeted:

Due to a case of synovitis, (severe inflammation of joints) Gaga’s doctor has ordered her to postpone show in Chicago, Detroit + Hamilton

We’re personally sad by the news as we had tickets to see Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden next Friday! We hope Lady Gaga has a safe recovery and gets some well-needed rest after almost three years of non-stop touring.

Did you have tickets to the Born This Way Ball?

At least people get refunds. And her fans are understanding anyways, so all is good.

Yes we have tickets for the 2/20 show in Philly. We hope she listens to her medical staff and returns better than ever :)

I have to say, Gaga was way immature for not telling her staff about her injury until she couldn’t walk anymore. If I was LiveNation I’d be pissed that she handled it in such an immature manner. For all we know, her team could’ve been able to help her get better if they treated her sooner.

Probably a bit immature but she has always been like this. She would literally die on stage rather than cancel a show or a tour. I wish she had said something sooner because now so many fans are disappointed. Remember how she used to pass out on stage during the Monster Ball? At least now she is forced to take a break, which she needs. I really hate how bloggers like Perez are calling this karma or haters saying she is making up the injury… that is just rubbish.

I seriously JUST saw her in Minneapolis on the 6th. I guess I got really lucky. I bet Gaga is seriously devestated right now. I do agree with you though, Andrew.
