See an image of Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore on Downton Abbey) in costume for her guest appearance on Once Upon a Time!

TV Guide has this first look image of Nicol from the episode where she’ll be appearing, which is number 2×15, ominously titled The Queen is Dead.”

Once Upon a Time Lesley Nicol Downton Abbey

Nicol will be appearing in flashbacks, playing the royal attendant of Snow White’s mother Queen Eva (Rena Sofer). In this image it looks like she and Young Snow (Bailee Madison) are trying to help Eva, who is collapsing.

Obviously we know that Queen Eva dies, leaving Regina to marry King Leopold and later conspire with Genie to take over the kingdom. But could there be more to her death? We’ll have to wait and see!

Nicol has also spoken briefly about her experience on the Once Upon a Time set, and reveals some members of the cast who are Downton Abbey fans. She says, “Ginny Goodwin [Snow], Josh Dallas [Charming] and Lana Parrilla [Regina] all told me they were admirers of the show. I was really welcomed, which made it much easier to do my job.”

Once Upon a Time returns from its hiatus this Sunday with episode 2×13 “Tiny.” Check out the promo here!

For some reason, I imagine her as Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. But that’s just me…
