Despite the many ’90s comebacks taking place this year – including New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys and Destiny’s Child – ‘N Sync isn’t planning a return.

“I don’t think we’re doing anything,” Lance Bass told Life & Style. “I don’t think [a reunion] would happen. Everyone is doing their own thing.”

The former ‘N Sync band member cites Justin Timberlake’s busy schedule for breaking the hearts of many twenty-somethings ready to relive their childhoods the lack of a reunion.

“Justin’s doing his thing,” he said. “I don’t think he would have a moment off to do an ‘N Sync album. He’s the busy one.”

Timberlake kicked off his comeback with single “Suit & Tie” last month. He’s gearing up for the release of his third studio album (and first since 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds) The 20/20 Experience due March 19. JT will also perform at the Grammys on Feb. 10.

Former member JC Chasez, who surprised a USC sorority with the Lumineer’s “Ho Hey” last week, shot down talk of an ‘N Sync reunion last year as well.

“It’s just not in the cards,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in May 2012. “I’m sure that everybody in my group has been asked at one time or another — I know I get asked, I know the other guys get asked — but we’re happy with what it was, and we’re happy to move on.”

Call us delusional, but we’re still hopeful. After all, Fall Out Boy refuted claims that the band was making a comeback and Timberlake’s rep previously said there was no album in the works for the singer turned actor. Both have recently announced new albums.
