BookExpo America is slowly revealing the mystery guests that are set to appear at various panels taking place over breakfast with some of the industry’s biggest authors. Today, Rick Riordan was announced as one of those guests!
BEA announced the author’s appearance this morning. See the tweet below:
Rick Riordan will discuss his new book The Heroes of Olympus, Book Four… 5/31/13 @ Children’s Author Breakfast! @camphalfblood #bookexpo

It’s exciting that we’ll be getting some information about House of Hades, the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series, as we haven’t heard a whole lot about it yet. Riordan took to Twitter as well, sharing his excitement about the reveal and reminding everyone that May 31 is just the date of the Expo, not the release day of the book.
Looking forward to appearing in NYC 5/31/13 @bookexpoamerica for the Children’s Author Breakfast!bit.ly/11eR1c9 #bookexpo

Just to be clear, 5/31/13 is the date of the Book Expo breakfast, not the release date for House of Hades. That is still Oct. 2013. :D

The book isn’t due out until October 8 of the this year, so we’ve still go a ways to go!
Riordan’s appearance will be at the Children’s Book & Author Breakfast on Friday, May 31. The event will take place between 8-9:30 AM in the Special Events Hall. Three additional authors will also be in attendance, though they have yet to be revealed.
The description of the breakfasts is as follows:
Start your morning at BEA with freewheeling, stimulating panel discussions as top authors discuss their work, the industry, and whatever else comes to mind over breakfast.
It’s a great chance to get up close and personal with some of your favorite authors and learn more about their books, the world of publishing, and any other burning questions you might have for them. And maybe, just maybe, whatever tidbits Riordan decides to reveal about House of Hades will be able to tide us over until October.
