According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the nations second largest publication, for their fourth album Daft Punk has signed to Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony. Previous albums were created while signed to EMI.

The media caught wind of the news when half of the dynamic duo Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo spoke openly about it at an album launch party for Kavinsky.

Rumors have been swirling about an appearance at Coachella but many fans were let down when they did not see the masked robots name on the line-up. Is this a last glimmer of hope for die-hard Daft Punk fans hoping for a surprise set? Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen.
