‘SNL’ recap: Highlights with host Adam Levine

Adam Levine hosted SNL last night with musical guest Kendrick Lamar. Missed the show? Check out these highlights!

Adam Levine hosted Saturday Night Live as another musician-turned-actor, but he more than proved that he can hold his own as an actor as well as a comedian. Levine appeared in a wide range of sketches that showcased his many talents.

Though Andy Samberg left SNL after last season, The Lonely Island did return this week, and what a return it was. The group’s new song “YOLO” reminded us how much SNL misses Samberg and his work with the digital shorts. Samberg also appeared in the monologue as a coach for host Levine alongside Cameron Diaz and Jerry Seinfeld.

Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest and performed “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “Poetic Justice,” two of the singles off of his album released in October, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.

Thanks for posting this…Love the Adam Levine skits (especially the opening monologue) and Hypable :)

Battle of the Bands was definitely my favourite skit of the night. Maybe it was because I didn’t have high expectations like last week, but I found this episode really funny.

The only good ones for me were the Firehouse Incident and the monologue (Shirtless Adam Levine, anyone? Plus Cameron Diaz!). The rest made me cringe….especially the gay show AND THAT YOLO SONG.

that YOLO song was damn catchy!

I mean, did we need to watch anything other than the monologue?

  • Megan

Well Catfish could have been funny, but when she meets the guy you can totally see the line cards in the window! Totally unprofessional SNL.

  • Sam

    I love Bill Hader. “RUUULLAAAAAAAA!!!!”

The Sopranos Diaries was the funniest sketch I have ever seen! Made me smile from ear to ear.
