Following this morning’s Breaking Dawn – Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray announcement, we’re now learning about special edition sets exclusively available at retailers Walmart and Target.

Target’s exclusive Breaking Dawn – Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray set includes a whopping 52-minutes of footage not seen anywhere else. “In this bonus content, the cast discusses special vampire powers in ‘Tingles and Chills,’ the Volturi in ‘Judge, Jury, & Executioner,’ and the new vampires in ‘Carlisle’s Contacts.’ Watch how Bella and Charlie’s relationship evolved in ‘Being Charlie Swan’ and feel the excitement from the 2012 Comic-Con and the world premiere with the cast and fans!” It is priced at $29.99 and is available for pre-order now. By pre-ordering, you’ll receive a poster featuring Bella and Edward.

Walmart’s Special Edition does not include any unique features. However, it is the only way to purchase Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Extended Edition and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in a combined box set. Walmart has priced it at $22.96 for the DVD and $24.96 for the Blu-ray.

Last week, Summit announced the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Extended Edition which offers up eight minutes of never-before-seen footage. Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Extended Edition and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will both be released Saturday, March 2.

Pre-ordering for Breaking Dawn – Part 2 began today on Amazon as well. Use the buttons below to purchase:

Which of the many sets will you be purchasing? Thanks to darkl61 for the tip.

    Lordy that cover is ugly.

    • http://www.facebook.com/Krys831 Krystol Grayson

Yeah, but it’s not nearly as bad as that ridiculously ugly “photoshopped” battle poster. This cover may be bad, but it could be worse.

      • KleppMelk

That was also a bad one yeah. But I can’t help marvelling at how they made that already ridiculously ugly poster even worse on the blue-ray cover. Rpatz’s face? What is going on there?

    • http://twitter.com/Killward Your Goddess

For the BD1 DVD edition the cover was the worst.

      • KleppMelk

Well, they haven’t been exactly noteworthy any of them really.:/

        • http://twitter.com/Killward Your Goddess

          True

  • PotionWillow207

And apparently none of them will have deleted scenes. Fail.

Really happy they are releasing the two movies together right away (unlike Deathly Hallows) since I need Pt.1 on Bluray…

  • Tomas

Beatiful cover! As usual, stupid and untrue comments by haters
    just because it’s Twilight

    • Corin Boswell

See now… I’m not a hater… I’m a huge fan and I don’t think this cover is a very good depiction of any of them. But luckily I only have to look at the cover when I take the movie out to watch.

    • Divya

Oh? So if you hate the cover of the DVD of a movie, you become a hater altogether? Only shows how intelligent YOU are.

WHAT ABOUT THE UK FANS WHO DON’T HAVE A TARGET TO GO TO AND BUY THIS ‘EXCLUSIVE’ EDITION?! HOW ARE WE MEANT TO LEGALLY VIEW 52 MINUTES OF EXTRA FOOTAGE?!

Also, I can’t seem to find the ‘Breaking Dawn Part 1 Extended Edition’ being advertised for release in the UK either? Am I just an incompetent researcher, or are we really supposed to resort to illegal online downloads to see this stuff…?

    • Cinderbella

Exactly! at last some one agrees. I’m from Ireland, does that mean that we get none of the extra stuff on offer?

  • Enelya

I guess I have to wait for Target to open up here. Kinda glad it’s coming to Canada now :)
