Chris Colfer deserved that and so much more.

  • Ben Rubin

How the hell did Adam Sandler best comedic actor?

    • Lucija

Yeah i was so shocked…and not impressed with his speech

how the hell did the twihards win!? noooooooooooooooo.
    i do not except this.

  • Liz

How the actual fuck did Twilight win best fan following? Especially since most of their fans are in school most of the day.

    • https://twitter.com/GreatSkies29 Hermione Granger

I know right?! I’m done with life.

    • redhead312

Probably because they had the better fandom name. I’m a Harry Potter fan but I think that Potterhead sounds stupid. The others aren’t much better, even worse is Tributes; why would Hunger Games fans want to be calledthat, being a tribute in the book is a bad thing.

      • tom

because being a tribute is a bad thing

      • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

Exactly, when did we as Hunger Games fans decide to be called Tributes? This is made up.

        • AmyW115

I don’t think Hunfger Games fans need a “name.” I hate that idea anyway. Why do fans Need a name. What do they call 50 Shades of Grey fans???

          • Batmannnnnn

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=607519910 Catherine Lai

It’s because the Twilight franchise promotes voting for these things on Facebook, etc.

    • Gracie

Mainly because most Twilight fans are active online – (they were the first fandom to reach 1 million on twitter etc). The final movie coming out too helped i guess and other fandoms just don’t bother to vote – you also have to take into account the age demographic of each fandom. So it’s not really a what the fuck moment, it’s logical.
      Did you vote?

    • Sia

Your just a sore loser ! Shut up already it’s getting old ! I’m a 29 year old and know lots of people who aren’t in school. It’s pathetic your all still jealous ! You guys really need to work on that because it’s not good for you.

      • guest777

You shouldn’t be so proud of being 29 yrs old but seem to be about 15 yrs old based on your comments.

Potterfans! I love HP and HG too but common Twihards won because they voted more, nothing to bash another fanbase for.

      • KleppMelk

You’re 29 years old and still use the “you’re just jealous” fallacy?

        • http://twitter.com/CassiopeiaDrake Cassie Drake

Actually, they used “your just jealous” which is far worse lol

          • KleppMelk

LOL! Can’t believe I missed that! What?

      • Lindsey

You actually sound like a 12 year old right now…

    • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

What I’m more concerned with is where they got “Rum Runners” from.

  • Elphaba Thropp

Aw, I missed all of my favorites :(

  • Sam

Happy For Emma Watson and Perks!

  • Lucija

I can’t believe The Wanted won! So happy!!!!!!!

  • Leila

Chris Colfer deserved to win!! Oh my god, I’m so happy that he won. :D He’s such a great actor.

  • kprice

Twihards winning over Potterheads and Ringers…no just no.

    • Sia

I know your jealous blah blah blah but GET USE TO IT WE TWILIGHT FANS LOVE TWILIGHT more then you’ll ever love Potter it’s the truth !

      • Guest

You’re trying to tell me how much I love something? Well, aren’t you smart.

      • WeasleyIsOurKing

Do not think you even know how much we love POTTER!!!!!!!!!!

      • Roxy

Do you know how many Razzie Awards Twilight has been nominated for? It gets nominated for the Razzie Awards each year.

  • unknown

Ginnifer Goodwin should have won along with Ncis for best crime drama as the #1 scripted show in America how does it not win? I thought Ncis should have won for best crime drama this season has been fantastic and its America’s number #1 drama. Also I laughed when kayley Cucco said that Vegas was a hit…., um it’s on the cancellation list on TVbythenumbers and so is beauty and the beast. Peoples choice awards is a joke.
You know who wins when u see the celebs shown in cameras i only seen winners show up at peoples choice awards ceremony not all nominees. as for castle i had a feeling it would win although according to tvbythenumbers it had a rating of 1.9 so it might not even last on air for long

    • ProfessorPreis

The People’s Choice Awards are on CBS, Kaley Cuoco is employed by CBS, and Vegas is made by CBS – they’re going to say anything they can to boost the ratings of one of their shows.

  • Isabelle

Quite a few of the winners I’ve never heard of. Suffice to say never saw the shows either. Yay Ellen!!!!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1683360003 Paige Barton

yay Supernatural, Robert Downey Jr, and Jennifer Lawrence!!

  • http://twitter.com/Dillon_Mays Dillon Mays

    Twihards shouldn’t have won anything.

  • Isistelle

SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY FOR CHRIS AND LEA!!! But us Gleeks are so dedicated, too bad for us…

  • Samma

LOL who voted for this? Even the shows I like that I won, I can’t help but think “…really?” (exhibit A: Leverage? Weren’t you just cancelled because no one watches you? Whatevs, good job)

  • unknown

I find it odd that Leverage beat The Walking Dead

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1045615098 Riana-Tiana Menezes

The Hunger Games fandom is on FIRE today!! :D

  • http://twitter.com/vonchambers Devon Chambers

So glad for Perks but why the heck was Logan not nominated? Why did it become Emma Watson’s movie?

    • Sam

I agree that Logan should have been nominated but lets not undermine Emma’s nomination just because he wasn’t. Its not like they were competing in the same category!

      • TheOneAndOnlyCliche

I think he’s right, though, it did – even before PCA’s – kind of become Emma’s movie, not through any fault of her’s, she was good in it, but it’s been treated less as ‘a new movie’ and more as ‘What Emma Watson Did Next’. Her presence – again, not her fault, she just has very powerful fans – seems to have detracted from the fact that there are other people in the movie of equal importance. I think it’s less about how Emma got a nomination and more that no one else did, and Logan gave arguably a better performance (again, this does not mean Emma was bad.) PCA’s are obviously not to be taken as seriously as some award shows of course, and award shows in general should be taken with a pinc of salt. It’s still, in my eyes, Logan’s movie, he grounds it. Everyone was great, but Logan was the best. It seems to be overlooked, his performance, but again…just an awards show.

  • unknown

how did Leverage beat The Walking Dead?

    • Claire

Because Leverage is a fantastic show and its fans wanted to prove a point to TNT, even though it ended up being too late. I love both Leverage and the Walking Dead, but I am so happy Leverage won. It deserved it.

  • applepie

The Hunger Games won every award they were nominated for. Movie over Twilight, the next big franchise is here.

    • Sam

I LOVE Hunger Games but I don’t think it was better than The Dark Knight Rises, which won NOTHING! The bad thing about these famous-novel based franchises is that then the fans vote without actual consideration. I predict The Hunger Games movies will win every one of these voting awards in the next few years and it’ll become very tiresome like the Twilight sweeping all the award shows did.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1045615098 Riana-Tiana Menezes

You got a point, but I think most of the awards THG will win will be justified. Categories like Best Act

        • tom

I can accept with JL winning. Problem was she got the award for hunger games, when she should have got it for her performance in silver linings playbook

          • applepie

That can be argued. I think her performance in Silver Linings was GREAT, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t in The Hunger Games as well.

      • applepie

You know, some people actually enjoyed The Hunger Games more than TDKR (I know right?? Hard to believe).

  • ferda

add this with the mtv awards and suck as awards to not care about

  • Max B.

Twihards win? I think there was some rigged voting!! Harry Potter for the win!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/cassidy.howell.98 Cassidy Howell

  • Becca

Ok some of these I’m like “YEAAAAH!!! GO!!!”
And then others I’m like “what is wrong with people???”

    Beauty and the Beast…seriously…?
    Supernatural…HELLS YES!

    • luna97831

Totally agree with you! For example, why was “The Lucky One” nominated for an award??? Or why the hell did Adam Sandler win favourite comedic actor? Then I have to remind myself that the majority of the PCA voters are 13 year old girls who saw it on facebook and voted by name recognition, not necessarily by most deserving…

  • http://www.facebook.com/cassidy.howell.98 Cassidy Howell

Sad for Once Upon a Time though :/

  • sdbcurler

    Love that Leverge won!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=636033419 Maritere Domínguez

While potterheads were making something useful with their lives, twihearts spent the whole voting period refreshing their browsers and voting for themselves. What a waste of time. Either way I wanted potterheads to win :( to bad I was busy having a life to vote more than twice

  • 1Dpotter

    i think i just threw up a little…

  • Alice

YES! Leverage got Favorite TV Cable Drama. Even though they ended on Christmas Day. Woohoo.

  • http://www.facebook.com/richard.r.bailey Richard Bailey

I’m kinda really irritated that “Part of Me” won for best music video.

  • http://purplehrdwonder.livejournal.com/ Caitlin Kelly

Hooray for Supernatural and the SPNFamily!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=673982809 Irfon Pennant Williams

Guys, remember, public choice awards have never been about what the public really think’s best, it’s been about what fans can vote for their thing the most.

  • http://twitter.com/Dillon_Mays Dillon Mays

Sad that American Horror Story wasn’t on here.

  • twihard_me

    why, you ask?
    because we are dedicated fans!!!

  • http://twitter.com/_unforgiven Maj Elisabeth

    The People makes shit Choices.

  • Isabelle

I understand TV is evolving – but into what? As I commented earlier, with the exception of a few, most shows I’ve never heard of let alone seen I’m stuck in an era when shows actually made sense. Pehaps it’s me. What about NCIS, AND THE CAST? Other shows areworth mentioning but I’ll run out of room here. What happened to the GOOD shows? I understand times & likes/dislikes change – but so drastically. My opinion only.

  • Darklord

Favorite new TV Drama: Beauty and the Beast.. Really???

  • Pick a name

PCA is a joke. The Emmys, Grammys and Golden Globes are the real competition because it’s not based on popularity but on actual talent judged by people who know what they’re talking about. The only people who vote for PCA are diehard fans and teenagers.

  • Katie

At least Doctor Who got in there…

  • http://www.facebook.com/emza62333 Em Filer

    TWIHARDS. Ugh.

  • Abbie Owen

I know no-one probably cares… but I am fangirling just because The Wanted won an award :’)

  • http://www.eigakanthemovietheater.blogspot.com Jenny Leigh

Can we all just take a moment to enjoy the picture Andrew chose for this article? :p

  • Megan B

Still wondering how the hunger games win favorite action movie over the dark knight rises. Twihards must have cheated, there are way more potterheads than twihards.

  • SarcasticLuna

Twihards? Bitch please, Potterheads is where its at

  • Kay

  • emma

    Yay for Chris colfer!!!!!
