Though not officially released yet, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′s DVD/Blu-ray box art and release date appear to have surfaced.

UPDATE: Read the official Breaking Dawn – Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray announcement!

The film will hit stores on Saturday, March 2 if leaked information is to be believed. Yet again Summit-Lionsgate is choosing to release a Twilight film’s DVD/Blu-ray on the weekend in hopes of stores hosting midnight release parties Friday evening into Saturday. Given this is the final big Twilight saga release, we can hopefully expect to see some big events to send out the series.

Earlier today Summit announced Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Extended Edition for a release also on March 2. The extended version of the film includes eight minutes of new footage – see a trailer here and read a message from director Bill Condon.

Special features for Breaking Dawn – Part 2‘s DVD/Blu-ray are not yet known. Apparent leaked box art for the Italian version is below. We’ll share the formal announcement when it becomes available.

'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' DVD/Blu-ray box art

To date, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has grossed $289 million in the United States and $524 million internationally. It is the third most successful Twilight film domestically and the top performing of the five Saga stories worldwide.

While this is exciting, we hope to hear about a Twilight Saga Complete Box set now that all five films are in the can. We’d expect one to be released no later than the end of this year in time for the Holiday season.

I think that box art was photoshopped. No DVD cover has all the credits at the bottom like a movie poster.

Some do look at old dvds that is how they started

I hope for the directors cuts of all the films, with all the extra footage added. That would be really great news.

T’f part one came out on february 11th

  • Nicole

Because that’s the only effin way they’re gonna get people who bought Part 1 on Bluray to buy it again! That’s probably why.

  • Tony

That box art is fake. At least try to see the legitimacy of it first. It’s pretty obvious.

  • Nym

Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, on February 16, 2013.

  • Austin

thats not real, its so obvious.

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 is going to be released as an extended edition on March 2.So far I can’t find anything about part 2.I expect it to be release sometime after this date.It could be 2 version of part 2 the one that was in theatres along with the uncut version .I have heard that Bill Condon wants to release the uncut version of part 2.

New DVD’s are released on Tuesdays. At least here in North America.. so I highly doubt that the supposed Saturday release date is legit.

    • Klk1222

I work in a movie department and release dates are set by the by the production company. True, it is usually a Tuesday. But there are weekend releases as well.

As a Twilight Saga fan…. who has been to all the movie marathons and release date parties, I can tell you that they’ve always came at 12:01am on Saturday.
