A new squintern and intel on Cam’s (Tamara Taylor) new relationship should hold fans over until Bones returns from its winter hiatus.

A few weeks back on Hypable, it was revealed that a new squintern would be added to the Jeffersonian team. Some speculated that another female squintern would be added, as Daisy (Carla Gallo) is greatly outnumbered by the other squinterns. However, Brian Klugman has been cast to play the newest squintern Oliver Wells.

As reported by TVLine, Oliver Wells has four degrees and won’t shy down in his opinions when faced with the formidable Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Klugman has been seen in the films The Words and Cloverfield as well as appearing in popular shows like Frasier, Castle and Psych.

In episode seven of this season, “The Bod in the Pod,” Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Angela (Michaela Conlin) discovered that Dr. Vaziri (Pej Vahdat) and Cam were dating. In the “Breakfast with Bones” episode “Kiss and Tell,” Vahdat discusses his character’s feelings with Bones actors Michael Grant Terry and Eugene Byrd. He says Vaziri is “in love” and that Tamara Taylor is a “terrific actress.” Although not much was revealed about the likelihood of the couple staying together, it sounds like fans can enjoy the cuteness for a bit. However, fans can expect the couple to face some issues when Brennan finds out about the relationship later this season.

Bones returns Monday January 14 on Fox at 8 p.m. EST.
