People on Twitter who think I’m ‘The Sims’ video game

My name is Andrew Sims, and I used to be a The Sims addict. No, I didn’t invent the game. People who incorrectly think they’re being funny like to ask me that.

But quite often – multiple times a week, in fact – people on Twitter think I’m the game.

Over the years I’ve fielded lots of questions related to the popular people simulation game. I hear about pregnancies, install issues, frustrations with Sim relationships, and much more.

I love retweeting these to my followers, but the problem is that as soon as I do it, the gamer realizes the mistake they made and then deletes their tweet.

This post will serve as a log of these tweets which I will screen cap and add here from now on.

The types of tweets I receive are…

One Direction fans who try to virtually have a baby with one of the group members

As a result, they have no real friends

      Hi, I’m not ‘people on this site’ but fair comment, I know it’s public, but tweets tend to be quickly forgotten and I think all of these kind of articles, where the people are identified, are a bit mean. Obviously this is a silly one as it’s just about the sims, but surely it’s the tweet we want to laugh at, not the people who send them?

        I honestly don’t think anyone here is laughing at the people. And I don’t think that Andrew posted these for that purpose at all. This article was not written in mean spirits at all, from what I am gathering. And as far as identifying people elsewhere on the site (not sure what else specifically you are referring to, as I haven’t been active on the site that long), people need to realize that this is what the internet is. It has made us all way too comfortable spouting out anything and everything to everyone everywhere. Once you’ve put it out there, it is fair game to be praised or ridiculed.
