The upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine will feature a cover story on The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence. In it, she tells a story of using her bow-and-arrow training for The Hunger Games to take on who she thought were robbers at her home.

“One time I actually used [the bow-and-arrow training] for defense,” she told the publication. “I pulled into my garage and I heard men in my house. And I was like, ‘I’m not letting them take my stuff. I had just gotten back from training, so I had the bow and arrows in the back of my car. I went to my car and I put this quiver on me and I had my bow and I loaded it and I’m walking up the stairs. And I look, and my patio doors were open, and there were guys working right there, and I was like, ‘Heyyy, how you doin’?’”

If that great story weren’t enough, she also spoke about acting and how she thinks the idea that her success would give her a big head is “stupid.” “Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid,” Lawrence said. “Everybody’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.”

Two beautiful photos of Lawrence, shot for the article due in the February 2013 issue of Vanity Fair, can be seen below.

I just fell even more in love with her after reading this statement.

“Yes, because the ministry HAD taken over Hogwarts at the time” did it for me. This is just the cherry on the cake.

Ok, /acting/ and being cocky because of acting and fame and stuff are totally different things. I hope she’s saying the hype around acting is stupid and not acting itself, which it seems she is, so that’s fine.

So smart and wise, but creepy looking in the second photo.

I wish I could have seen the reaction of the “robbers” when she came out arrows-a-blazing! lol

Love! I wish some actors read that reply *cough* Kristen Stewart *cough*. It’s a pet peeve of mine when I see actors trying to assign some kind of magical profundity to acting itself. Drives me nuts! I get that they are passionate about their job, but seriously, settle down. Kudos to JLaw, who never ceases to impress me.

I love her too, she’s so good at what she does even if she thinks it’s stupid. Those pants in the picture above though, just no.

Not only the most desirable woman to men but, other woman too. I love her more everyday. She is such great human being :)

Truly wonderful. What a beauty. I think she looks super hot in the second photo and come on people about the pants, it is a photo shoot for Vanity Fair! Seriously it’s high fashion not everyday street wear.
