Glee’s own Naya Rivera has teamed up with former guests 2CELLOS on a new song and super suggestive music video “Supermassive Black Hole.”

Even though Glee is currently off air until 2013, you can still get your weekly dose of Naya Rivera in the latest video from 2CELLOS, “Supermassive Black Hole.”

The song, which is originally by the band Muse, features members of 2CELLOS Sulic and Hauser ripping away on their electric cellos while Naya lends her etherial voice as vocals. Check out the video, released on VEVO, below:

Glee fans will remember when Santana and Sebastian (played by Grant Gustin) teamed up with 2CELLOS in season 3 when they performed a rousing rendition of “Smooth Criminal.” This video is definitely a lot sexier and edgier than anything Naya has done on Glee, that’s for sure.

We particularly love Naya’s catwoman inspired costume combined with the outer space style theme of the video!

Back in July we reported to you exclusively from San Diego Comic-Con that Naya Rivera is working on her debut solo album and even went as far as to announce the title of the song, “My Heart.” You can read more about that San Diego Comic-Con coverage right here!

What are your thoughts about 2CELLOS featuring Naya Rivera in “Supermassive Black Hole?”

Just plain weird. The cellos sound cool but I hate the supermassive overdose of effects used on Nayas voice. Does any singer really want to sound like a cyborg on their first solo album? Bleh.

    • Mitchel Clow

I agree, but isn’t this just a cover single? I don’t know if this is exactly going to reflect her solo album, although I could be proven wrong.

No this isn’t meant to be a part of her solo album…although maybe it will be added?

I love Naya, but I’m not loving this song or video. I hope it doesn’t reflect her album.

    I liked it :D

  • Septima

I love this song but I like how Muse did it.

  • Lucija

I loved it! But I am Croatian therefore biased towards the 2Cellos! Živjeli!!

  • Marie

Eh? I love Naya, but this was totally not a good song for her, especially with all the effects. Also, the video was just weird. What was up with the random soccer ball? And I was not a fan of the outfit. That was just kinda tacky, IMO. I hope her solo album is better.

Whaaaattttt is up with that purple green-screening?!

I usually love this song but…eh. I’m not overkeen on this cover. Sorry, Naya – I love you, but this wasn’t for me!

Muse is my favorite band and I absolutely love this! The effects on Naya’s voice might seem like too much to some, but that’s the kind of sound Muse has sometimes.

  • Indigo

oh good. most of you don’t like it either. i thought i’d get hate messages for saying i hate everything about the video from her outfit to the setting and the choreography! i’m not a huge Muse fan but i’ll say the original song is amazing! this is not the right song for Naya. i’m disappointed indeed :(

This is amazing. Those guys are extremely talented!

  • Lynnh32

I really didn’t mind it, yeah her vocals a lil synthesized, but I thought it kinda was cool

While I don’t really like the video or the song overall, I’m really bothered by the totally vacant look on her face for most of it. She’s a better actor than that…

  • Jane V

I was kind of proud I’m from Croatia when I saw 2CELLOS featured on hypable.

Anyone else just giggle at the title of the song… a little bit?… no?… just me?… ok…

  • Guest

I love Naya, but I just can’t, this song is horrible. It’s just too much. Cello is cool though.

I love it! Naya and the 2 cello guys work so well together, I loved when they did Smooth Criminal on Glee and I love them now.

  • Andy

Naya you can do so much better than sexy-rolling against a wall in the tightest outfit you could find which also shows of your breasts. Honestly, pathetically heavy on the sexy/seducing.

  • ashleyisagoddess

I love the cellos. But the video is distracting with Naya’s fake boobs looking all lopsided.

  • SofiaCalista

don’t like the video but i like her rendition. i love the original but i don’t really compare male and female versions of songs, i always have a fav male ver and a fave female ver.
