Christmas came early for Darren Criss fans this past weekend in New York City. Fans of the singer and Glee actor braved the cold and rain to secure a place at an outdoor Christmas show which took place at the eBay Toy Box pop-up shop. The show marks Darren’s third year of lending support to the annual Toys for Tots charity drive.
Darren flew in directly from Los Angeles in order to stop by the eBay Toy Box and play five Christmas tunes for the awaiting crowd. He was joined onstage by fellow University of Michigan alums and peripheral StarKid cohorts, Charlene Kaye and Clark Baxtresser, for a couple of numbers – a duet with Charlene on “White Christmas,” and, performed as a trio, “Christmas Don’t Be Late,” popularized by Alvin and the Chipmunks. The short concert, which was free of charge, was Darren’s first public show as a solo artist in over a year.
You can watch fan videos of all five songs below:

Darren also spoke to Extra TV about his involvement in the Toys for Tots drive. At Darren’s prior holiday shows, fans brought physical toys to be donated to the charity, but this year the singer is encouraging people to take advantage of eBay’s collaborative efforts to match every toy donated online.
Did you love this? Which of Darren’s Christmas renditions did you like the best? We are absolutely dying over The Chipmunk Song.
