The complete first season of HBO’s Girls was just released on DVD and Blu-ray. Allison Williams, who plays Marnie Michaels on the show, drops hints about the upcoming season. With the premiere of season 2 (and the holiday season) inching closer every day, Girls has finally released season 1 on DVD and Blu-ray. The recent preview of season 2’s first trailer has fans antsier than ever for the next season’s debut, which is schedule for January 13th.
To promote season 1’s DVD release, Williams recently stopped by Toronto to talk more about what’s coming next for her character Marnie. The uptight, put-together Marnie that we know from season 1 is far from figuring herself out in season 2.
Her buttoned-up demeanor has “completely changed in season 2,” she told the Toronto Star. Williams went on to say that Marnie is “completely floundering,” but that’s all she can reveal right now.
Williams also said that she loves that Girls is often compared to HBO’s other hit, Sex and The City. Though, according to her, Marnie, Hannah and crew they are “less glamorous,” and don’t have as extensive a collection of shoes as their counterparts.
The first season of Girls can be purchased on DVD or Blu-ray here. Possibly the most perfect Christmas gift for the fan in your life.
Will you purchase the first season? What do you think will happen to Marnie in season 2?
