Far Cry 3 is not only the biggest game releasing this week, it also marks the last big retail release of 2012.
Far Cry 3‘s predecessor, while flawed, gained a serious cult following with its ambitious design. Ubisoft seems to have fixed all of the major complaints found in the previous entry while improving upon the already strong base for the sequel. The process seems to have worked as the title has seen positive reviews since its European release last week.
The latest piece of DLC for Skryim, Dragonborn, comes to Xbox 360 for $19.99, adding the coastal island of Solstheim, new dungeons, new powers and a new storyline featuring the original Dragonborn.
Also out this week is EA’s collected Mass Effect Trilogy on PlayStation 3, including the original title for the first time on Sony’s console. If you’ve never experienced the trilogy before, now would seem the perfect time to jump in.
Finally, a new Uncharted is being released this week, though not in the form you are used to seeing. Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, an untraditional turn-based card game featuring characters from the series, comes to the PlayStation Vita this week.
