Morgan Saylor has hinted at some “big changes” coming soon to the climax of the second season of Homeland. What could be in store for Dana and Chris Brody?
Morgan Saylor, the 18-year-old actress, dubbed with television’s most overworked eyebrows, has revealed that “big changes” may happen and a shake-up of character dynamics could be soon be hitting screens within Showtime’s Sunday night thriller, Homeland.
As more episodes roll out, Morgan Saylor is becoming a bigger actress and along with that, Homeland‘s writers are giving more expectation and importance to Dana Brody. Saylor reflects, “It was a surprise. My character got a little bigger at the end of last season, but this season I have my own plotline. It’s crazy. Each script came out and it was juicier and juicier. And I was excited, but so nervous and scared that I wouldn’t be able to carry it.” The writers have given Dana her own storyline, having been involved with a hit-and-run, fans can now interact and develop far more with Dana as she begins to become an integral character.
Similarly, Saylor has also mentioned that Jackson Pace, the 13-year-old actor playing Chris Brody, may also face the task of stepping up. “I know Jackson is eager to do something,” she said. “I think as he gets older, there will be a little more juice able to be soaked up by him.” Despite being at the tender age of 13, Pace already has cameo roles in Criminal Minds and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and we’re certain Homeland‘s executives, Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, are pinning their hopes on unearthing a real gem of an actor.
Saylor also let slip though that the tables may turn for developments in Homeland‘s plot. “There are some big changes in the [Brody] family,” Saylor teased. “We’re kind of pushed to the limit.” As Homeland reaches nearer to its conclusion on December 16, fans still have four episodes remaining of season 2. The climax ever nears.
Be sure to check out Homeland on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET on Sundays.
