Tonight, on the LIVE results show, and in a shocking double elimination… Jennel Garcia, one of Demi Lovato’s Young Adults and Lyric 145, one of Simon Cowell’s Groups, were eliminated from The X Factor.

Hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez announced that Lyric 145 received the fewest votes following Wednesday night’s performance show, immediately eliminating them from the competition. Then it was revealed that Garcia and Paige Thomas both received the next fewest votes. Judges Simon Cowell, Lovato, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears listened to the two finalists each perform their “song for survival,” and after deliberation, Garcia was sent home.

At the end of the show when it was either Demi’s Jennel Garcia and Paige Thomas who had to go home, LA Reid and Britney Spears were quick to send home the former. It was then time for Simon Cowell to vote, who refused to give his answer and instead wanted Demi to make her choice. Demi then tried getting Simon to answer, but he insisted, so Demi selected Paige. Her vote for Paige may’ve been solely to send the vote to Simon. If she had selected Garcia, Simon would not have had to vote.

Taylor Swift was tonight’s performer, who promoted her new album RED.

Note: The above is part of a press release from Fox.

Do you think Jennel was the correct contestant to go home tonight? And who do you think is the best of the Top 10?

They didn’t mention anything about Lyric 145? :(

How did Janelle go home?! Cece was TERRIBLE last night!

Lyric 145 was the most original group on the show and America can’t put down cheeseburgers to vote?

Neither Janelle nor Lyric 145 should’ve gone home
